Our devices are FDA-cleared and safe for home use, but they rely on powerful clinical technologies. Review the following contraindications before applying.
- Active medical implants (e.g., pacemakers, insulin pumps)
- Pregnancy or are currently breastfeeding
- Epilepsy or severe known heart disorders
- Skin cancer, areas at risk of malignancy, or have received chemo/radiation therapy in the past 3 months
- Severe or uncontrolled metabolic conditions (like diabetes)
- Autoimmune disorders, a damaged immune system, or are taking immunosuppressants
- Active skin diseases (herpes, psoriasis, eczema), severe acne, or broken skin in the treatment area
- Recent use of Accutane (within 6 months)
- Taken photo-sensitizing medications (e.g., tetracyclines, Retin-A) within the past 2 weeks
- Blood clotting disorders, history of DVT, or are taking blood thinners
- A history of collagen disorders or keloid scar formation
- Recent surgery or aesthetic treatments (Botox, fillers, deep chemical peels) in the treatment area
- Tattoos, permanent make-up, piercings, or metal jewelry in the treatment area
- Moles, birthmarks, freckles, or blisters in the treatment area
- Intentions to treat over genitals, breasts, nipples, or mucous membranes
- Tanned skin or recent/planned sun exposure (for IPL protocols)
- Fitzpatrick skin type V or VI (for IPL protocols)
- Allergy or sensitivity to chrome, nickel, or base gel components
